The Fun Dog Show is organised by Wessex Heavy Horse Society member Sandy Tribe, and is always a popular part of the show.

The show starts at 12 mid-day, with classes for all your favourite canine friends. Why not try Most Handsome Dog, Prettiest Eyes or Waggiest Tail? There are classes for rescue dogs, seniors, and many more, with something for everyone and rosettes for all!

Vintage vehicles have been a large part of the show for many years. The show has two vehicle parades in the display arena, informatively commentated by Mike Horler, and the vehicle lines are open to the public throughout the day.

Activities for the kids include giant inflatables, face painting and wagon rides, while the medieval encampment should provide interest for the whole family.

Take a look behind the scenes at the horse lines, where the equine stars are prepared for their classes and rest afterwards.

Meet some of the horses, and watch them being groomed and harnessed.

Please remember that not all horses like being stroked, and that horses are large and easily-startled animals with very big feet.

Chat to the horsepeople and learn the tricks of the trade, such as the fine white sawdust (known as wood flour) that is applied to Shire horses' hairy legs to make them extra-white and feathery.

For your own safety, follow any instructions given by show signs, stewards and horse handlers, and keep children and dogs under control at all times.

Please keep clear of the horse walkways while horses are being moved.

A wide variety of trade stands and craft stalls offer visitors a chance to browse, shop, eat, and drink. The West of England Championships sponsors, Wadworth Brewery, have a licenced bar on-site. Craft demonstrations include a working farrier.

While show classes are going on in the Main Arena, there is other activity throughout the day in the Display Arena, with terrier racing, vintage vehicle and riding displays, and the West of England In Hand and Harness Championships.
